Nurse Shortages Continue To Plague The Health Care Industry

Nurses are in more demand than ever. That’s good news as far as nurses and those still in the nursing programs are concerned. But not so for the hospitals and health care facilities scrambling to hire new qualified nurses of all specialties.

The weak links in the “nursing supply chain” start from a lack of enough nursing programs in colleges and extend all the way up to the high cost of living in some metropolitan areas.

Heal-thyself Bio-chemic Cell Salts

Good morning,

In my quest for better health I studied many, many alternate healing methods.

The Bach Flower Remedies were working well. My fears and apprehensions were leaving me. I was using a few drops of several remedies in a glass of water several times a day for maintenance.

I was eating organic and natural foods. Breathing the clean mountain air and drinking only pure natural well water.

I turned my studies to vitamins and supplements. But on the way I discovered a supplement that I knew nothing about. Biochemestry. Dr Schuessler of Oldenberg, Germany recognized that the inorganic constituents of cells were “cell salts.”

Back To School And Back To Health Part 4 - Relaxation

Reducing stress and being more relaxed is also very important to staying healthy.

Of course we live in a stressful society and stressful time. And many of us have stressful jobs and family situations too.

Nevertheless there are still things you can do to help reduce the amount of stress in your life.

Many people find that different forms of meditation helps them a lot. Or relaxing breathing exercises. Sometimes hospitals and medical centers sponsor classes like these to help teach people how to relax.

Activities like tai chi and yoga also help some people to relax and are a good way to exercise too.

Exercise Threshold - You Need To Hit It To Succeed

One thing I learned about exercising is the THRESHOLD. You have to reach it and hit it. Once you hit it, you will genuinely love exercising.

I could not hit the threshold when I was casually jogging in the park or hiking. But I hit it in the gym.. and I am sharing with you on what I learn in one year:

Why joining a gym is good if you are not a born exercise freak:

1. You pay high membership fee- paying will at least make up get up from the sofa and TV and push you to go.

Understanding Shoulder Pains And Problems

Ever wonder why shoulder problems are so common? Think of the shoulder is a modified ball and socket joint, a good design for mobility, but an unstable one nevertheless, making dislocation and injury to the area fairly common. To improve the stability of the shoulder, a cuff of four muscles, referred to as the rotator cuff, stabilizes the joint. Surrounding the shoulder joint is a “bag” called the Capsule.

A Health Food For Snack Or Dessert – Four-berry Pudding

My Doctor said “you have to change your diet or you are going to plug your arteries!”
He had been telling me that for years and I just dismissed it because I did not feel bad so what could be wrong with it. Well now that I am over 50 and gravitationally challenged I realize what he was trying to tell me. After my cholesterol and blood pressure began going higher and higher. I had many bad eating habits I had to break, such as, eating anything out of the vending machine at work when I had a break. Trans Fat, and sugar content never concerned me then. After reading several diet and health books the common theme to them seemed to be portion control to lose weight and a more natural diet to maintain health. Berries seemed to be good for you for both diet and health so after experimenting with several recipes I came up with one that naturally turns into a berry pudding that is great for snacks. I eat that now for my breaks along with some beef jerky and my cravings to eat and snack are satisfied by a much healthier treat.

Frozen Shoulder - 3 Easy Exercises

Frozen Shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition that causes so much pain and stiffness in the shoulder that it is difficult to move the joint freely.

It comprises a freezing stage (1-8 months), as the arm gets painful and more difficult to move, the frozen stage (9-16 months), as the arm actually becomes frozen (little or no movement as a result of pain upon movement), and the thawing stage (12-40 months), as the arm pain decreases and some mobility is restored. Complete recovery is infrequent, with a number of people permanently losing their full range of movement. The cause is unknown, but it is known that an inflammation develops within the shoulder joint from which adhesions then form. Occasionally the disorder follows some traumatic event, but most seem to develop from an unknown etiology.
The above briefly sums up the current literature on the frozen shoulder which has not changed for the number of years that I have studied the subject. Clinical experience has shown another concept.

Construction Safety In The Modern World - Your Responsibility As A Client

To begin with it’s perhaps worth looking at what the CDM regulations are and put simply they have been introduced to ensure construction projects are safe to build, use and be maintained whilst delivery good value to the client. As well as this they have also been put into place to ensure through good health and safety planning projects are well managed and problems and unexpected costs are kept to minimum levels.

For some this may seem like yet more regulation and unnecessary paperwork and processes but in reality the CMD 2007 regulations have been introduced to ensure construction and building work is done by competent people who work safely and efficiently.

Pursuing Happiness - What To Avoid

Everyone wants to be happy, but their happiness must not cause other people’s suffering, otherwise it is a selfish happiness that is not real.

As a matter of fact, the contradictions one finds when searching for happiness are the most important stages of this journey because people tend to neglect other people’s happiness when thinking about their own. This indifference is responsible for many conflicts that cause pain and even tragedies, especially concerning love relationships with married people.
