Leveraging Article Marketing - Why Repurposing Your Articles Into Different Products Make Sense

Article writing and marketing are very lucrative activities. Not only can you get more exposures, prospects and profits, the same content can be used as the basis for many different products as well. The potential is there. But, why is it feasible to repurpose your content in multiple ways?

Many people doubt that you can benefit with your content in so many ways. They think that at most articles can be reused in one different way. Perhaps you can create a special report and that’s it.

Why do people want to consume the same content in many different formats if they can do so from one?

To illustrate this, let’s take an analogy. When going out fishing, chances are better if 10 people throw the baits at the same time. You can only catch so many fish if you doing it with one fishing line.

Articles are like your virtual salespersons. The more you have them out there, the more traffic you’re going to get.

The second reason is that people prefer content in one format or another. I like to read blogs, but my friends prefer to carry content with them in their PDAs. Others have simple device such as iPod, so audio and video contents are more appropriate.

Repurposing content in different formats just makes sense because you want to capture as many prospects and customers as possible. If you know your potential audience can be reached via blogs, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t publish via a blog.

Finally, the third reason is multi-consumption.

Do you know people who watch a movie and then buy the book, or vice versa? Do you experience it yourself?

People buy content in different package formats. Just because they’ve consumed it doesnt mean they won’t buy the same content again, especially if they like it and would like to experience it in different ways.
